Preschool Graduation

Both classes
Jace and Ashlee...they are best friends!
A tiger and an elephant for the zoo song! It was so cute!
Getting his certificate
So proud...and yes, he did write his name on his certificate and he did choose pink for the paper color.  But anyone that knows Jace, knows he is ALL boy...no worries about the pink!

Like I said...best friends...or as Jace says "She is my girlfriend"!
And so the relationship drama begins!
The proud family!
And a little video of just one of the many songs they sang. (don't mind my videoing skills...it's a new camera and I am still getting used to it)
So what is next?  Another year of preschool, even though I think he is ready for kindergarten!

Preschool fieldtrip to Hogle Zoo

We got to see the new baby elephant...Zuri!!!  She was so cute, except she was playing in poop!  YUCK!!!
They could almost touch this turtle if they wanted to.
This little lizard wanted to be where ever her hands were.  It was so cute to watch them.
The ducks!
The famous lion water fountain drink.
T-REX...ahhhh!
Maybe she is my kid...she wanted to check out his teeth!
My two little apes!
Playing in the playground for a little bit.
COOLING OFF...by the water ball.  The day was gorgeous and very warm, probably close to 80 degrees.
TRAIN RIDE!
They both could not wait...they were SO excited to go on the train.
Kaden, Jace and Briggs on the next bench with his Dad.
Jamee, Mckelle, Christy, Jace, and Kaden.

CAROUSEL
She LOVED it!
Jace and Kaden on giraffes with Mrs. Sherry in the blue.

It was a wild, crazy day.  There were at least 20 school buses there for fieldtrips, which made it all the more interesting to keep track of my own kids.  Good thing I thought to put Jace in orange...easy to spot!  Overall, it was fun, just exhausting.  They both napped on the way home...but not me, unfortunately.  Isn't that they way it always is...MOM never gets to nap.  Just call me the energizer bunny!

St. George Family Vacation

We started with spending a few days in Cedar City hanging out with Grandma and Grandpa Eggett.  And then made our way to St. George and the first stop we made was to the St. George Temple and visitors center.  We loved learning about the lightening that hit the top, the rooms that they have on the top level for people who traveled back then just to come to the temple (which are not used today), and how they paint the temple white every 8-10 years, just to keep it so white and bright.
Mckelle thought we were supposed to swim in the fountain.
Unfortunately, Jace has his eyes closed...my little stinker can hardly ever do a normal face for a picture.
Aunt Jerbear met us there on Friday and stayed through Easter Sunday.  It was so fun to have her there with us for a couple of days.
That night we went and had a Brazilian chaurisco (I think that is how you spell it) and did the grocery shopping for the week.  When we got back to the condo we went swimming because we had promised the kids that if they were good while we shopped they could swim.  The water was chilly, but not enough that we didn't have fun.

Saturday we spent the day out at Red Cliffs (which was so busy due to spring break) doing some hiking, playing in the sand and water and then colored eggs later that night.
She was so independent and walked almost the whole time.  She wanted to do it all by herself even with all the rocks, sand, and steep climbs.
 Jace was in heaven.
When we were all done hiking, we let the kids play in the water which was so refreshing and got most of the dirt layer off of them.

Easter Egg time!
So serious...This was business to Jace.  He colored most of his eggs...blue.
Mckelle wanted to do it all by herself, but I wouldn't let her.  That's the non-messy mommy that I am!

Sunday we found the nearest chapel and went to sacrament, but then came back to the condo and played some games while the kids enjoyed their Easter baskets!  Grandma and Grandpa Eggett drove down and enjoyed a Easter dinner and afternoon with us.  It was so nice to have them.  It has been too long since we have had family around for the holidays.

Monday morning we went for a bike ride.  Jace rode his bike and Mckelle was in the cacoon on my bike.  We road for 2 hours that day on the Mayors Loop, over 5 plus miles and Jace did awesome!!!  At the end, he told us he couldn't go anymore and got off his bike.  He walked for a couple of minutes while Brett carried his bike while riding his own before he said he wanted to ride his bike again.  He finished strong and we took them to the park afterwards for a reward.  We were a little nervous that he wouldn't want to go again, but he was so excited to go again for another ride later in the week.  It was so warm and beautiful and made me wish there were more biking/walking trails in Stansbury.

Tuesday we decided to do a little shopping (not a good idea with two kids), played at the playground there at the condo, and visited my aunt and uncle and cousins.
 I love those blue eyes!

Wednesday we went for an early bike ride and then spent the day at the pool...both kids loved being in the water!

Thursday we took the morning slow and then went to the Johnson Dinosaur Farm (a total waste of money and so not a kid friendly environment, but still fun anyway to see the "REAL" dinosaur tracks).  Later that evening we had a BBQ with my aunts and uncles...good times!
Showing off her dinosaur stamp she got!
That is one of the track fossils behind us.  Super exciting right?  Especially if you can't touch...sense the sarcasm.
She is almost as tall as this track.  Don't you love these smiles!!!!  ahhh!!!

Every night we crashed from playing so much.  The last night when I checked on the kids before going to bed this is how I found them.  Jace had taken his shirt off from being too hot and they finally were not fighting...but actually being loving siblings.

Friday we headed for home, but made many stops along the way.  We stopped and had lunch with Grandma and Grandpa Eggett in Cedar and then made the normal stop in Lehi...at what you ask?....Cabelas of course!
She is learning young!
It was the best family vacation we have had.  It was packed full of fun with great weather and forever memories.  Too bad Brett has to go back to work and we have to get back to normal life...booooo!!!
