Eggett Family Reunion

Hiking to CASCADE FALLS

Painting time with Grandma Eggett
Jace did do some painting, but getting a picture of him was almost impossible.  He was always so busy running around with his cousins and just having a grand old time.

Of course, I did my normal running in the morning.  There is just something great about running in Cedar City...maybe it is the great hill they have and the local high school that is so close by.

We also went to the little lake they have, but I totally forgot my camera that time.  But it was GREAT fun.  It was just like being at the beach, but it was in CEDAR CITY of all places.
It was so great to see everyone.  It does always make me wish that everyone lived a little closer.  Thanks Clyde and Kris for everything...it was WONDERFUL!!!

Cruise part II - Puerta Vallerta

Extreme Canopy Adventure
Mule Ride Time

The mules made me nervous, but I did really good for having a fear of riding them.

We made it to the top...now let's repel and zipline at least 10 times.
You can see the platform in the distance...it was SO beautiful!!!
 Repelling next to a waterfall
Freefall repelling

Ziplining together!
SERIOUSLY THE BEST 6 HOURS EVER

After our excursion we did a little shopping and then went and got a couple's massage.  The only thing was we didn't realize we had spent more money than we thought and when it was time to pay for our massages we realized we were short by about 25 bucks and only had about 30 minutes before we would be left on land.  So...Brett left me there and ran back to the ship, through security,  up 6 flights of stairs, down to the other end of the boat to our room, grabbed some more cash and ran back.  We paid them and started running for the boat...Thankfully, we made it back on board with just about 5 minutes to spare...but really that ruined our relaxing massages with all the running and stress that we would be left in Puerta Vallerta.

We hope to get back to Mexico again sometime in the future...we made great memories and hope to make more someday.  It was a GREAT vacation and so worth the money and missing our sweet kiddos.  Thanks to my parents and Emily and Sean for handling the kids.

HASTA LUEGO, MEXICO!!!!

After 11 years it is about time to take a second honeymoon!

Mexican Riviera Cruise on the Carnival Splendor - June 2012
We did SO many stairs it was crazy...waiting for the elevator was ridiculous!
There were AMAZING sunsets and sunrises (for those of us who just can't sleep in)

CABO SAN LUCAS - shopping, snorkeling, taking a bus & boat taxi, and exploring some caves!

Ready to go explore Cabo

 our bus ride
our boat taxi - it actually had a glass bottom so you could see the fish...kinda neat!

Going Snorkeling

The girls...and the boys!
The LOVE of my life!
Coming back in after snorkeling.  I had already got out because I had a flipper issue and I also got stung by something....it burned and was bright red...ouchie!!!
We did see some really cool fish.  We were actually lucky that we got to port that day.  I had woke everyone up early...not realizing that my clock was off and it was really only 6:30, but good thing I did, because they were not letting anyone get off the ship after 10am due to the unsettled water.  We had no idea until we got back on the ship later that day.  For those that didn't make it off early enough, they just had to spend another day on the ship.

DINNER TIME
So every night we could just go to the buffet or we could go to our dinner at our assigned table.  It was great because it was just Brett and me and Shauna and Sam in our booth.  We got to eat things like steak, prime rib, frog legs, salmon, lobster tail, and nice pasta dishes, etc etc.  I think you were only allowed to order one thing, but by the middle of the week it seemed like we were ordering a couple of things because we wanted to try them.  It really was super sad at how much food goes to waste (not waist, except for some people...no names mentioned...hehe) on a cruise ship.
Also, the waiters would put on a show by getting up and dancing.  It actually was quite annoying, but so funny to watch.  Most of the workers on the ship are foreigners and I really think they despise Americans with how lazy and pompeous we can be....just a thought.

My birthday...I AM 30!!!!

It was fun to have a birthday on the ship.  The night before, Brett actually got up during karaoke and sung our song.  It was really sweet and totally made my night.
Then on my actual birthday we kinda just chilled and at first I was a little sad, because we had decided to do presents and cake and stuff when we got back home with the kids.  But my dear husband and sweet friends surprised me that night by giving all my gifts beforehand to our waiter/waitress who then brought them out after dinner with a piece of cake and of course they sang Happy Birthday to me!
Not the best pic of me, but seriously I felt so giddy and like the luckiest girl alive!  Thanks you guys!

SO...there will be more to come, but I think this sums up most of it.  Part II will be PUERTA VALLERTA and our awesome excursion and how we almost got left there.
