9 months OLD!

Isn't she just a CUTIE!!!  So beautiful!!!

This has just gone too fast!  She turned 9 months old about a week ago.  She is in the 80% for her height and 15% for her weight.  The doctor was a little concerned that her weight percentile dropped from 60th to 15th in just a few months.  He recommended that I start supplementing her with formula or nursing her at least a couple more times a day.  I think it is just because she is such a mover and always has been.  She eats like crazy and has started to demand that she eat whatever we are eating.  Hence, she still has her sweet, but strong and determined personality.  She isn't quite walking just yet, but that day will come soon enough.
This is after eating a pancake with Grandma Eggett's jam and a banana.  I feel like I have to giver her a bath after every meal time.
She loves playing outside especially on this slide and Jace's motorcycle.

A few milestones that she has reached:
*She mimics our tongue movements and will stick her tongue out or rub it along her top teeth.
*She claps her hands when excited.
*She can say (when she wants to, of course) Mama, Dada, Jace, all done, and hi.
*She gives the best wrapped around arm hugs...they are so sweet.
*She has started to shake her head to music.  I think she thinks she is dancing.
*She interacts well with Jace and watches him very closely so she can do what he is doing.
*Favorite toys are Jace's legos and Jace's box of matchbox cars.  Go figure...I gave her a doll and she didn't want anything to do with it.
*Favorite food - banana by far! She will down a whole one when we let her.
*Last of all, she is our CLIMBER and DESTROYER.  She will try to climb up on everything.  I have seen her almost get on the couch, she has gotten on the dishwasher when open and the time out chair when not turned upside down.  She has all the bumper pad string untied in the morning even if I just tied them at bedtime.  She always has "Lola's" (her Build-a-Bear lamb) shoes off in the morning.  And she bangs and whips any toy she can get her hands on.  We usually know she is awake in the morning because we can hear her scratching or banging on the wall.
*She still tends to be quite a Mama's girl, but has warmed up to Dad alot since I went back to work.

We love her and are so glad she came to our family to add a new dimension to it.  I just can't believe that the big 1 is just a couple of months away.

A great Mother's Day weekend!!!

This Mother's day has been wonderful.  It started yesterday, with rising early to be to my first 5k.  Yep, that is right.  I wasn't totally prepared because the first 1.5 miles was all uphill...oops, forgot to train for that part...which gave me a huge sideache, but I didn't let that stop me.  I continued to run and did the best I could do.  It took me 33 mins and 44 seconds.  That works out to be a 10:51 mile.  Not super great, but average.  It was just fun to do the whole thing.  The best part was that Brett bundled up the kids, since it was still only about 35-40 degrees outside, to send me off and cheer me on as I came over the finish line.  I love my family so much and couldn't be more lucky with how special they each are.  It was also fun to run it with one of my girlfriends, Nicole, who was much faster than me...You go girl!!!  I hope this is only the beginning for my racing...I hope to teach my children that being physically active is important for our bodies.  Jace wanted badly to run it with me.  I told him he will just have to wait until he is a little older.
That is me way down there...just about to cross the finish line!
Then last night we got a sitter for Mckelle and Brett and I took Jace to the Demolition Derby...one of our family's favorite things to do.  It was so fun and Jace had a blast, of course!  I guess I might be a redneck at heart, eventhough I grew up in the city.
Brett made waffles for breakfast and they are always delicious, especially with Grandma Eggett's jam on them.  For lunch we grilled and spent a couple of hours outside, since we are finally having such warm weather.  When the weather is just perfect like this, I could sit outside for hours and hours.
I am so grateful to be a mother.  It is hard work and very time consuming, but very much worth it.  I have a wonderful spouse who helps me become a better mother and encourages me all the time.  I know I said it already, but I LOVE my family!
On a side note...Brett accepted his intership for Granite School District and will start this coming fall.  We have found housing in Stansbury Park, which will make his commute about a half hour, and will be moving the beginning to middle of June.  Yeah Brett!!!  We are one step closer to being all done!

GOAL!!!!

So last night was Jace's last game for soccer.  Happy it is over, but also sad at the same time.  But the good news is....Jace made the only GOAL last night.  It was a perfect ending...it was his first goal and the teams last goal!  He learned so much in the 4 weeks that he played.  GO JACE!!!!!!
