HaPpY 2nD BiRtHdaY JACE!!

Tractors was obviously the theme that Jace picked out! The cupcakes are the "dirt clods" he has been digging. We were so glad to have Grandma and Grandpa Jenson with us...Jace just loves having someone around he can tease and constantly play with. At the end we had the kids play "pin the construction cone on the construction zone". They had a blast. Too bad it was just Jace and all his girl cousins. We had a day full of activities and parties. I can't believe it was two years ago...how time flies. We just love him so much!!

Birthday Countdown

Jace has been counting down the days until his birthday since the day he received Grandma and Grandpa Pudges gifts in the mail....he wanted so badly to open them that day. Now we are trying to help him understand some time....we keep telling him his birthday isn't today, not tomorrow, but the next week. I keep telling myself that saturday the 24th can't come fast enough, because he asks ALL the time....how ironic it was totally how I was feeling when I was pregnant with him...it just couldn't come fast enough. But I am so glad he is here. He is our bundle of joy and brings a plethora of blessings to us. More birthday postings coming your way!!!

2009 Brings many Changes!

Well, Happy New Year! I am a little late, but have had my hands full with changes already!
Brett had decided to take the next year off from school and work totally on his thesis to get it out of the way and done. Some of this decision was based on rules of the college, but needless to say, I am totally at peace with the decision. I actually wonder if I am more attached to Logan, Utah than I thought or if there is a subconscience fear of moving on from school life to actual life. Really, I feel like the Lord needs us here in Logan for just a while longer...either growth for our family or as an instrument in others....only time will tell.
Jace continues to grow and "grow up" so fast. For christmas he recieved the leapfrog fridge alphabet and now almost knows the whole alphabet song by himself. He continues to learn about money by the pennies and nickels, and occasionally quarters I give him for helping me with tasks around the house like laundry and cleaning the bathroom.
Also, he received money from christmas and when we were in the store the other day (store to Jace always means going and looking at the toys...it is a crime if we don't), he saw a pack of four motorcycles and seriously would not let them go. I would even give him another toy to look at and he would have the motorcyles in one hand...the other toy in the other hand, but was sure to not let go of the motorcylcles. He knows me too good...I would put it back when he isn't looking. So....I asked Jace if he wanted to buy those motorcylces with money out of his piggy bank. He of course said Yes! He continually wanted to open the box while we were in the store, but we handed him the money and told him he couldn't open it until he paid for them. We have been working on this since he started earning pennies. He then "paid for them" and was able to open them in the car. He held two in each hand....he was so attached. Now whenever he tells anybody about his motorcylces...he tells them also that "he paid for them".

I think it is so neat to see the responsibility forming and how much a two year old really can understand. He has his birthday coming and can't wait to open the "presents". We just found out today that Grandma and Grandpa Pigeon will be coming for a visit over his birthday. We are SO EXCITED!!! We are glad they both have the time to come...what a blessing.
