This past Sunday it was gorgeous outside. We heard the Seagulls squawking outside and decided to take some bread and crackers out to feed them. There were so many and it is just plain fun to feed those crazy birds.
Unfortunately, after feeding the birds there was a miscommunication and we totally got locked out of our house. We were a little concerned because I had cornbread cooking in the oven and so we knew we had to get back in within 25 mins. So, there we were stuck outside with no shoes and no jackets, besides Jace. Luckily, I did have my phone with me and after trying everything we could to break in, we called the maintenance guy. As we waited for Don, Brett tried one more thing and yep as fate would have it, Brett got the garage door open just as Don pulled in. I felt awful that he came all that way to rescue us, when Brett just had to pull from the back of his mind all those tricks he used to use (that is what he said anyway...not that he was a troublemaker or anything). It definitely made for a comical weekend!
